Welcome to CU Swimming and Diving

A CU Sport Club | Part of Recreation Services

About the Team

CU Swimming and Diving is a student run organization consisting of about 100 student athletes of all commitment levels. Any full or part-time CU Boulder student can join! No experience is necessary to participate, we do not have cuts or tryouts, anyone is welcome. We compete in several home and away meets throughout the season, including College Club Swimming Nationals held every year in April. For more information, visit the events page.

The team competes in around 8 meets annually, both home and away, against Club and NCAA Division I/II/III teams from across the country. One of the highlights of the season is our Training Trip, which typically takes place during the last week of Winter Break. Past locations included Florida, Arizona, and California. We spend a week balancing intense twice-per-day practices with trips to the beach and local attractions.

How to Join the Team

Any student can join, regardless of their experience or ability level! To join the team you must...

  • Be a student at CU Boulder
  • Be enrolled in 9 Undergraduate credits or 6 Graduate credits
  • Fill out a release form via the rec center
  • Pay team dues ($400/year) or ($200/semester)

We hold an interest meeting during the first week of each semester. If the interest meeting has passed, you are unable to attend, or you have any questions, contact one of the officers. You are always welcome to drop by one of our practices as well.

Practices are optional but highly encouraged. Our philosophy is "you get out what you put in." We only ask that you respect the time of your coach and fellow athletes. All practices are at the University of Colorado at Boulder Recreation Center.
